Mastery in medical aesthetics science

About the Program

  • A Mastery Program in Medical Aesthetics Studies at the North American College of Aesthetic Dermatology focuses on an in-depth training in many modalities. This interdisciplinary training program establishes quality standards for various areas of work in aesthetic medicine. In addition on to the focus on minimally invasive procedures and treatment techniques such as advanced facial rejuvenation, cosmetic Botox, dermal fillers, platelet-rich plasma therapy for skin rejuvenation and hair scalp restoration, and utilizing various lasers, ultrasonic, cryo-freezing and radio-frequency technologies and devices for face and body contouring and treatment and removal of skin imperfections and lesions. 

Mastery in Medical Aesthetics Science Outlines and subjects

  The program covers an interdisciplinary approach involving the following subjects:

  • 1- Advanced Facial Anatomy and Physiology: In-depth study  of facial structures, muscles, nerves, and the aging process of the skin.
  • 2- Medical Aesthetics Science and Cosmetic Dermatology: Studying various treatments related to skin aging, removal of unwanted lesions such as moles, skin tags, warts, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, undesirable birth marks, spider veins and pigmentation.
  • 3- Cosmetic Botox: Facial administration and injection  
  • 4- Injectable Dermal Fillers: Absorb-able HA-based
  • 5- Aesthetic Laser Therapy for skin rejuvenation and unwanted hair removal.  
  • 6- Autologous Fat Transfer for Face and Body.
  • 7- Body Fat Reduction: by Lipo-dissolve Mesotherapy Cryolipolysis (freezing cool-contouring), ultrasonic cavitation, and RF mediated heat- contouring. 

  • 8- RF-fractional microneedling - for medical and cosmetic improvement of skin conditions.  
  • 9- Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy for wound healing Alopecia, hair restoration and skin rejuvenation.
  • 10 - High Intensity Focused Ultrasonic: Also known as Ultherapy this training course designed for non-surgical, facelift and skin tightening and rejuvenation. 
  • 11- Patient Safety and Ethics: Exploring patient safety protocols, informed consent, and psychological aspects related to cosmetic interventions. Understanding cultural perceptions of beauty, social impacts of cosmetic procedures, and ethical considerations within diverse populations.
  • 12- Teaching and Lecture Course Delivery: For those who are passionate in teaching and professorship.
  • 13- Quality of Life and Patient Satisfaction: Analyzing the impact of cosmetic interventions on the quality of life, psychological well-being, and patient satisfaction.
  • 14- Dermatological Conditions and Treatments: Investigating various dermatological conditions, their impact on facial aesthetics, most common cosmetic skin disorders and treatments available. 

Eligibility criteria for admission

  • Candidates pursuing a Mastery of Medical Aesthetics Diploma Program should possess at least a Bachelor degree in Medicine, Dermatology, Nursing, Naturopathic or other life science disciplines and must be enthusiastic for elements of aesthetics medicine and  medical cosmetic studies and practices.  
  • Clinical experience in aesthetic medicine is highly desirable for admission into the program. Participants must complete a fellowship of at least 6 weeks in a clinical setting. 
  • The program imparts an in-depth, scientifically and methodically high-quality education oriented towards lasting knowledge, which qualifies graduates for further qualification and employment in a variety of fields of aesthetic medicine making them internationally competitive. 

Eligibility criteria for Postdoctoral training program in Aesthetic Dermatology studies include the following:

Some exceptions or waivers may be considered depending on your work history and academic records.


  1. Educational Background: Applicants should usually hold at least a relevant Bachelor degree in fields such as Medicine, Dermatology, Surgery, Nursing, Dentistry, Naturopathic or public health a related discipline.
  2. Academic Excellence: A strong academic record during previous undergraduate and graduate studies is often an asset. A minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4 is required.
  3. Letters of Recommendation: Submission of letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources who can attest to the applicant's qualifications.
  4. Statement of Purpose (SOP): A well-drafted statement outlining the applicant's interests, career goals, and motivations for pursuing a Medical Aesthetics Position.
  5. Interview: In some cases, applicants might be required to participate in an online or personal interview as part of the selection process to assess their suitability for the program.
  6. Language Proficiency: For international applicants, proof of English proficiency through standardized tests like TOEFL or IELTS may be required.
  7. Relevant Experience: Previous professional experience in the field of facial aesthetics, cosmetic medicine, dermatology, plastic surgery, or related areas might be considered favorably.


  How can I apply for admission into Postdoctoral of Aesthetic Dermatology Program  

  

  • Complete application form (available online) 
  • Include official transcripts of previous academic degrees
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume highlighting academic achievements, research experience, publications (if any), and relevant work experience

  1. Submit Application: Complete and submit your application along with application fee of $150.
  2. Interview: If shortlisted, be prepared for an interview as part of the selection process. Prepare to discuss your research interests, background, and motivations for pursuing Postdoctoral training.
  3. It may take up to 18 months (6 terms) to complete section A of the Mastery in Medical Aesthetics Diploma Program by online platforms, distance learning, supervised self-study and module-based assignment and online tests and quizzes completion. This section comprises 85% of the program. 
  4. Once the section A is completed, you will be invited to attend section B which is a 6-8 weeks hands-on bedside practicum that is held in one of our designated clinics. International candidates are responsible for their own entry visa application to attend the practicum.
  5. Tuition fee payment:  It costs up to $18,000.00 USD to complete the  program that can be paid by each term installments of $2995.00.

  • Academia and Research: Pursue a career in academia as an instructor, supervisorr, or lecturer in relavant institutions. Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in facial aesthetics and cosmetic medicine by conducting research, publishing papers, and mentoring students.
  • Consultancy and Advisory Roles: Provide consultancy services or advisory roles for cosmetic companies, healthcare organizations, or regulatory bodies, offering expertise in facial aesthetics, cosmetic treatments, product development, or regulatory compliance.
  • Healthcare Administration: Pursue administrative roles in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities involved in cosmetic medicine procedures. Roles may  include managing cosmetic units, overseeing patient care, or developing clinical protocols.
  • Public Health and Policy Development: Engage in public health initiatives, working with governmental or non-governmental organizations on policies related to Medical Aesthetics procedures, safety standards, or public awareness campaigns.
